Infrastructure Repair & Development

  • Be open minded and a voice for our residents & their concerns
  • Make good decisions for AP while being accountable & fiscally responsible
  • Acknowledge the strengths of AP to draw more families, businesses & tourists
  • Fund a strong education so our teachers and children are proud of their school
  • Keep improving AP reputation by continuing to support our police and fire departments

In the six years since putting down my roots in Aransas Pass, I have come to feel deeply passionate about the continued growth of our harbor city. I seek to work with the community to carry on the legacy of the existing council, which I believe has done a wonderful job at moving us forward. While our city is currently in good financial shape, I understand the need for further economic progress, and if elected I will work with the council and the community to keep us on course for slow and steady growth.

I believe that the number one way to create a thriving community is through pushing forward policies that create opportunities for sustainable economic growth for both local business and families. I would like to see housing for the everyday family of our great city. In addition to attracting new youth into our community, new homes will mean more ad valorem taxes for our city.

I am also passionate about maximizing tourism opportunities, which would lead to increased revenue for the city and local businesses. Likewise, I would like to see short term rentals for the many cottages we have within our city limits. Through your on-going support and involvement, I am excited about working with the community to continue to grow Aransas Pass’s tourism platform through existing and new events.

In addition, I feel it necessary to continue to clean up our derelict properties and continue to repair our roads and infrastructures, both for the health & safety of our residents, as well as for the future growth of our community. I also promise to keep improving the reputation of Aransas Pass by continuing to support our police & fire departments so that our community can feel safe and secure.

I LOVE our community and want to serve to preserve the history of Aransas Pass while pursuing positive growth in the best interest of our citizens.

About Jan Moore

Our Community - ARansas Pass, Texas

Grab your gloves and get on over to City Hall so we can Team Up to Clean Up! We encourage all business owners and residents to join us June 3, 2017 to clean up our City. We need all hands on deck to pick up large amounts of debris across the City of Aransas Pass. We will have large roll-offs on the corner of North Lamont and Cleveland Blvd for residents to bring large bulking items. These roll-offs will only be for residents and not for commercial businesses. If you have a pickup, trailer or just want to come in and help, we will meet at City Hall at 8:00 am and divide into teams. Type your paragraph here.
